This on-campus partnership features two new student housing projects on the Boca Raton and Jupiter campuses at FAU. On the Boca Raton campus, a vintage 1965 residence hall will be replaced with a new state-of-the-art residence hall. The Honors College campus in Jupiter also features a new state-of-the-art residence hall that is designed to accommodate a second phase at a later date. These projects were financed and structured utilizing a unique transaction structure that provided a lower cost of capital and more financial flexibility than a traditional public-private partnership. This multi-campus project was also unique as the financial close and delivery dates (Fall 2021) for both projects were on the same timeline.
Both projects were part of an approved Master Plan for the University and was consistent with the mission of the University to provide much needed student and faculty housing.
